Mixed Media, Visual Artist

I'm Dee Rao, a visual artist based in Melbourne, Australia, originally from India. I work in oils, acrylics, and inks as layered mixed media on canvas, creating contemporary portraits and nature-inspired work that speak when words fall short.

The hours I painted nature's rhythms like landscapes it did something unexpected, it changed my rhythm too.

The more I captured earth's beauty, the more I discovered my own. The more I painted perfect moments in nature, the more I learned to love every moment of my life. Yes, even the messy ones. Something bloomed within me, and it demanded to be painted.

My work now explores feminine power through women who have learnt to embrace all parts of themselves. Women who've felt lost, overwhelmed, forgotten, but chose to come back home to themselves. They chose to trust their inner voice. They chose to bloom anyway. I paint for women like you because I am you.

You've curated every detail of your home with intention. The furniture, the textures, the light. But something's missing. Art that actually means something.

You don't want generic prints everyone has. You want pieces that stop you mid-step every time you walk past them. Art that reflects the woman you've become, not the one you pretended to be.

My portraits aren't decoration. They're declarations. When you see these women on your wall, you see yourself. The strength you've earned. The power you've reclaimed. The wild you've finally set free. This is art that changes the energy of a room because it carries your energy.

Your sanctuary deserves more than pretty. It deserves powerful.

Your Space deserves Art with a Soul..
For the Women who Invests in Herself...

You've done the work other women are just starting. Set boundaries that cost you. Chose yourself when it was terrifying. You didn't just survive your transformation, you became luminous because of it.

You're not collecting art to impress ! You invest in original work because you understand what it means: never settling again. My collectors are women in their power who surround themselves with beauty that has backbone.

Here's what happens when you live with one of these pieces. On hard days, when doubt whispers that you're too much or not enough, you'll walk past her. That woman on your wall who's already walked through the fire. And something shifts. You remember who you are.

Original art doesn't just appreciate in value. It anchors you. It's the daily reminder that you're not the woman you used to be. You're the one who did the work, claimed her power, and refused to shrink.

That's not decoration. That's a daily ritual of coming home to yourself.
